Ladki Bahin Yojana Maharashtra
Senior BJP leader Mahayuti recently announced that the government plans to increase the financial assistance under the Ladki Bahin Yojana to ₹2,100 per month. This decision will be finalized in an upcoming Cabinet meeting, where the government will determine how to adjust the budget to implement the new payment rate.
Since the announcement, news agencies have been reporting on the expected increase, and eligible beneficiaries are eagerly awaiting updates on their payments.
Around 2.4 crore women are currently registered on the Ladki Bahin Yojana portal, receiving ₹1,500 per month. However, the government issued double payments for October and November as a Diwali special. From this month onwards, following the Cabinet’s announcement, all eligible beneficiaries will receive a new payment of ₹2,100 per month. This applies to women whose family income does not exceed ₹2.5 lakh annually.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis confirmed the increase, stating that the monthly financial assistance will rise from ₹1,500 to ₹2,100, fulfilling a pre-poll promise made by Mahayuti. This announcement came on the evening of Thursday, and it is now official.
Fadnavis also mentioned that the government will first hold a special three-day session, which began on December 7, 2024. Following this, the winter session will commence on December 9, 2024, and a new Cabinet will be formed by the end of the month. The final decision regarding the payment increase will likely be made by the fourth week of December or even sooner, depending on the Cabinet’s formation and meetings.
Who is Eligible for Ladki Bahin Scheme Benefits?
The eligibility criteria for the Ladki Bahin Yojana in Maharashtra are as follows:
- Age: Candidate must be between age 21 and 65 years.
- Income: The family’s annual income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Residency: Candidate must be residents of Maharashtra.
- Marital Status: Women who are married, divorced, widowed, abandoned, destitute, or unmarried are eligible to apply.

To check if the 6th installment of the Ladki Bahin Yojana has been credited to your account, follow these steps:
- Visit the official website of the scheme.
- On the homepage, click on the triple-dot menu.
- Select the “User ID Login” option.
- Enter your registered mobile number, followed by the password, and complete the CAPTCHA code. Then, click the “Submit” button.
- Once logged in, your dashboard will appear, displaying all the installment payments you’ve received so far. If the 6th installment has been transferred, it will be shown here.
